If he were a person, he would be Hollywood's leading man! What a charmer. He is perhaps the best looking dog in the world. He has the greatest eye contact, he can't stop wagging his tail and his tongue is forever trying to reach you! Rockstar was spotted running stray in the street. When a good Samaritan opened her car door to try to help the Rockstar; he jumped right in. Not only was he happy to go for a car ride, he was full of kisses and his tail wagged none stop. Rockstar has been in our care for a few weeks now. We have learned so much about him. He is very playful. He loves tennis balls, hiding his bones, wrestling with his doggie friends and cuddling with his foster dad. Rockstar is a gigantic love bug. He has a big, goofy pittie head and it is filled with love. He is currently in a home with four other foster dogs and gets along great. However, Rockstar is not good with cats. We do suggest that he goes to a mature home. He is a big boy and is very puppy like. He is ready for a forever loving home. He is sterilized, up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He is about one years old. This little one year old boxer-mix will sink your heart. He might shy away from you initially, even run to hide behind something to protect himself from memories past. The good Samaritan who rescued Markus was eyeing him for months. The good Samaritan would feed him by the dumpster where he would hang out to find a scrap or two. His tail always tucked deep beneath his legs..... those days are gone! Gosh, has Markus come a long way. He still shows moments of fear but once he hears soft, kind words; his little body swings in to his "total body wag". He will run to the couch and look at you wagging his whole body inviting you to come and cuddle him. Whomever adopts this little soul of love needs to adore having a warm, fuzzy body next to them at all times. And when Markus is not next to you, he is playing with his foster dog siblings. This beautiful young pit bull showed up on a doorstep in Rancho Cucamonga, CA ~ luckily on the door of a horse vet! She immediately underwent a vet exam, was spayed, de-wormed, flea treated, given a bath & a pedicure, and was micro-chipped. She loves to go on daily walks with her foster mom and finds joy in riding in the car. She likes other dogs and seems to be happy with anyone who pays her any attention. She has a high energy drive, not trained, but totally trainable. In a short period of time, she has learned to sit, fetch & drop her toys! We think she is about one years old. He is being fostered with some big dogs and he runs the show. Bruno tells us that he would like to maintain his current lifestyle once he finds his forever, loving home. After all, he is pretty lucky to be here with us. He was found dodging traffic in the middle of a very busy intersection. Now, back to his current lifestyle. He currently gets to relax on the couch, play with some really fun furry foster siblings and get visited daily by all the neighborhood kids. Oh, and best of all, he gets to sleep and share a pillow with his foster dad! We estimate Bruno to be about 5-6 months. He is a bundle of joy and happiness, you can feel it when you hold him. Bruno will need to be tested with cats but we think he will look at them as his playmates! Bruno is current on his shots, has been sterilized and is micro-chipped. He is ready for his forever home. Slant and his three siblings are the happiest pups on the planet. They haven't had the greatest beginning but they are loving life now. Slant and his siblings were in a very difficult situation. To put it bluntly, their owner did not want them. Slant spent his days and nights barricaded in a car port. When Slant finally came into our foster care, we knew he was going to be a very, very sweet boy. He still has moments of timidness, but he is wagging his tail more and more. We are starting to learn more about Slant. He got his name because his face is slanted. Maybe it is because he slept for months and months on the hard concrete? Those days are gone! Slant loves to play on the grass and run with the other dogs. He has the coolest markings on his tongue. Since his is always smiling, his tongue is always hanging out. There is no doubt that Slant will make a wonderful pet. He is great with kids and other dogs. He also loves to go in and out of the doggie door. He will need basic training and will need to be introduced to cats. Also available for adoption are his siblings; Rusty & Katrina. Their owner left them with no food or water in an enclosed yard. We later learned that not only were the dogs hungry, thirsty and terribly frightened - one of them was virtually blind. When we tired to lure them from underneath the porch, it became evident that Spock, whom we have affectionately named; could not see.

Spock and Spence came into the care of loving hands. The big ugly ticks that were embedded in their bodies went away, the bones that poked out disappeared. New to their lives were hugs, consistent meals and a cozy place to sleep. And Spock - well, he can see now. He used to balance himself on his hind legs to be able to see just a little bit. Now, he can see on all four! Spock has recovered from eye-lid surgery and is very happy with his new view on life.

Update: Spence was adopted and we love Spock too much to adopt out!

Mopsie ~~~ Adopted!

Here's cutiepie Mopsie who has been adopted! Rusty and his three siblings are the happiest pups on the planet. They haven't had the greatest beginning but they are loving life now. Rusty and his siblings were in a very difficult situation. To put it bluntly, their owner did not want them. Rusty spent his days and nights barricaded in a car port. When Rusty finally came into our foster care, we knew he was going to be a very, very sweet boy. We are starting to learn more about Rusty. He doesn't quite get the doggie door but he loves to play in the grass and run with the other dogs. No longer does he back up when you try to pet him....he comes flying to us for more loving! Rusty is 10 months old. He will make a wonderful companion. He is great with kids and other dogs. He also loves the water. He just doesn't get the doggie door yet. He will need basic training. Also available for adoption are his siblings; Slant & Katrina. Check them out too!

Katrina~~Adopted!

Katrina – Shepard / retriever mix – 10 months old

Meet Katrina!
